Breaking News - New York Ranger Dies

           According to various sources, New York Rangers recent draft pick Alexei Cherepanov died during a game in his native Russia on Monday night.  An accidental collision during a line change may have been a factor, but speculation abounds. No matter the case, it is a sad tragedy for a very young man, a family, a franchise, and a promising career.

God, can you imagine how Jaromir Jagr must feel right now?  Cherepanov had an incredibly bright future.  I don't mean to say Jagr had anything to do with his death; in fact I don't believe he did, flat out.  But he's going to have to deal with questioning and doubt for the rest of his life about what happened.  I just hope people have enough sense to leave Jagr alone about this.  My condolences to Cherepanov's family as well as the Rangers and their fans.
