The Houston Texans win in obvious fashion in their week 8 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals puts them right where they were last year when they had their first non losing season in team history.
The Texans key players have defiantly stepped up in recent weeks. Matt Schaub has been playing like a pro bowler in the past couple weeks going 59 of 50 for 547 yards and 5 TDs, Steve Slaton is currently the 2nd leading rusher amongst rookies and Andre Johnson has been on a terror that the rest of the NFL can’t help but take notice.
Defensively Houston has received an extra boost by the return of star cornerback Dunta Robinson who picked off a pass in the game verses the Bengals. Mario Williams is proving himself as the top DE in the NFL, and the Texan LBs have been a pleasant surprise this season especially Zach Diles who actually is ahead of DeMeco Ryans in tackles for the Texans.
Like always Special Teams have been a major strength for the Texans with Jacoby Jones returning 2 punts for TDs and Kris Brown remaining 100% on both field goals and extra points.
The Minnesota Vikings will have two bring their A-Game to avoid dropping their fifth game of the season against the hottest team in the NFL.
